Luke our love bug loves animals. After begging daddy for a pet cat our life as a family of six (nine if you count the turtles that ran away) plus a cat has become even more exciting. When picking our new pet up at his current home I ask if the kitten is a boy or a girl,using my spanglish as Micah calls it, they tell me he is a boy. I did not want a boy but the kids were in love and I consider Bobby and I lucky that we only came home with one and not three. We decide on a name for our Spanish kitten on the way home. Micah says his name should be moon light because he has a little white on his chest part see right there he says. I agree that I like the name but we have to all agree. The first night in his new home he ran away. We searched the entire next day. Asked neighbors for help, people on the beach and a few store owners. We did not find him. Later in the night the kids heard a name and were excited to see the cat they now call Paco. Paco pooped and had worms so we took a trip to the vet. Before going to the vet his name was changed to Cleopatra because he was a she. While at the vet wediscovered she was really a he and his name changed to moonshine. Now in honor of the Sanlucar horse races our "OUTDOOR" gato's name is Paco who dances in the moon light on the beaches of southern Spain. We call him Paco for short.

Really Micah watermelon? In spite of this if you are requesting an out of the ordinary food item, your wish is my command. So the watermelon was not an absolute flop, Ava, as well as Luke and Lena find watermelon irresistible. In answer to your question “Mom the watermelon was a bad idea, next time can you just take me to the kiosko for candy?” NO! Be careful what you wish for it just may come true! Micah you are a picky eater, you always have been and that is one of the many reasons that I love you more than any other Micah in the world!

I love how you draw race tracks on the floor, I love how you protect yourself when jumping off furniture by first taking ALL the cushions off the couch and putting them on the floor, I love the way you make grass soup for dinner, I love your love for bugs and the way you want to bring them in the house and share your bed, I love everything there is to love about you!

I have the best kids in the world. They bring joy to the circus that is my life. At the end of the day when Cari (our nanny/house keeper) has gone home, and the kouse is clean, the kids are in bed and my husband is fast asleep on the couch I can reflect on the days adventures.

Today was full of color! As I am setting my machine up in the dining room, excited to start sewing the flameno dresses for my girls, my Lena says mommy moomy look! AHHH! When is that good? Never, that's when! NEVER I TELL YOU! Food coloring, red and green, like Christmas I was told. All over the floors to the playroom, and most of Lena's toys. My very handsome and loving boys were giving their cars a paint job. I was very angry! One tried to hide in the dresser while the other hid under a blanket. When I asked Micah who had the red food coloring (Micah with red up and down his legs) I was told Lena. When I asked Luke who had the green food coloring (you guessed it Luke with green dots all over his 4 year old body) I was told Micah. At least it wasn't that unwanted house guest Mr. Don't Know, that guy drives me nuts!

Our honeymoon was great! We left Sewickley on our way to the Poconos; I think Bobby may have still been drunk. Our stay in the Poconos was a wedding gift from my favorite Uncle Mike and Aunt Barb. While there we canoed down the Delaware River, played golf, went shopping, and had a wonderful time. We went to NJ to visit family, NY to see ground zero, Ellis Island, the Satue of Liberty and watch the Yankee's play in Yankee Stadium; then drove to Hilton Head Island, SC. In SC we stayed with my grandmother, went to the beach, golfed, ate good food, and then drove back to Wichita, KS. We had a blast, but you can’t take forever!

Look no training wheels! Micah is so excited that he does not have training wheels on his bike anymore! The sad part is the front wheel on Luke's bike cracked, and the handle bars on Lena's bike came off. We are going to get them new bikes this week. All Micah wants to do is go out on the street and ride his bike. I think Bobby may be more excited about it than Micah!

Keeping up with the Jones' Sunday September 6th 2009

What a wonderful life we have! Expecting baby number four, Micah has started school, Lucas is i the process of getting accepted to a preschool program on base, Lena is the stereotypical 21 month old daddy's girl, Bobby has taken leave to help with things around the house, and I am still prego.

Micah is loving school, but not the bus so much. There was a bit of confusion as to where the stop was, what time and so on. This caused the bus to pass us a few times. We were able to find the bus and Micah was able to ride it to and from school his fourth day of school. He cried when the bus was leaving, I started crying because he was crying, then Lucas started crying. Micah now has a fear that the bus is not going to stop and will pass me, therefore leading to him never getting off the bus and never coming home. Micah has agreed to take the bus Tuesday as long as I drive behind him in our van so he can see us. Guess what I will be doing Tuesday morning!

Lucas is upset because he has not started school and Micah has. His debate is that he is a big boy and he pees on the potty. While it is true that he pees on the potty, and we tell him what a big boy he is, the school on base does not have a Pre-K program for students under the age of four. There is a program that is located in the school that is not funded by the school that does take three year olds. We are in the process of trying to get Lucas ito this program. The process is said to take up to ine weeks. So far it is moving pretty fast. Lucas will go to the classroom to see how he interacts with the teachers and other studets on Tuesday. Lucky for us there have been no major disasters this week!

Lena is as beautiful as can be. This week she has started putting two and three words together. She loves to help hang clothes, put clothes in the washer, unload the dishwasher, and do everything in her power to keep up with her brothers. She enjoys showing people where there armpit is and where there butt is. She has taken up the ladylike hobby of picking her nose and handing people her boogers, she is a true princess!

Bobby is ... where is Bobby? Oh ya college football has started. Remember that we are seven hours ahead of central standard time. This translates into all nighters to watch football. Alabama played Virginia Tech last night, the game didn't start here until sometime around 2am. So to my loving husband please try and get some sleep!

With all of this commotion, otherwise known as our daily life, baby Jones has decided that he/she would like to join us early. I went to the labor and delivery floor of the Rota Naval Station Hospital on Friday September 4th 2009 for lower back pain and pressure. I insisted that I was not in labor, however I was having contractions every four minutes. I stayed the night in the hospital, the kids stayed the night with daddy, and I have been able to get some much needed sleep.
